This logo was later adopted in 1943 for use as the original logo for the newly formed NBC television network.

1952–1954[]
1954–1956[]
In 1954, a xylophone and mallet started being used for the logo, with the now-iconic three tone "GEC" jingle. Contrary to popular belief, the keys were not meant to represent the initials of the network's eventual owner, General Electric Company (GEC).

1976–1979[]
The logo had the look of a red and blue N and looked exactly like the 1976 logo for Nebraska ETV which NBC prompted to issue a lawsuit towards them in 1979.
1979–1984[]
A combination between the 1956 and 1976 logos only the N became a blue outline and the peacock revised itself.

1986–2011 (primary), 1986–present (secondary)[]
2009–2014[]
Gradients were added to the 1986 peacock in 2009 and the wordmark was dropped.
2013–2020[]
In 2013, the peacock became more detailed and the NBC text was reintroduced with a new font. The peacock itself was also modified.
2020-2023[]
2022-present[]
A new version of the NBC logo, bearing slight resemblance to the 1986 logo, was revealed in November 2022. The colors are paler to match the logo of streaming service Peacock, the feathers have been moved slightly to make them more balanced, the white trim forming the peacock's body and bordering its feathers has been removed, the beak is slightly larger, making it appear more prominent, and the wordmark is now emboldened.
This logo was first shown on November 24, during the 96th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and promos that aired on NBC during the parade's commercial breaks. NBC began displaying it on the network's social media accounts on December 1, and began using its horizontal variant (which places the network nameplate to the right of the peacock) as its on-screen bug on December 20. The logo began to appear on the network's website on January 5, 2023.
