The byline "a SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT company", like the previously used closing logo, was changed to the current "a Sony Company" byline. This current variation of the 1993 logo also carries the text "A Columbia Pictures Release", unlike the original variation of this logo.
This logo appears to celebrate the 100 years of Columbia Pictures, which was first established since 1924. This made its debut in the Marvel film "Madame Web".
