The "Double D" logo has been used by the company since its formation in 1965, with one major change being made in 2020.

2007–2019[]

Dolby logo (2007)

In 2007, the "double D" got connected together, and a new font was introduced. It also can still be used in the current HBO rating bumper throughout the future.

Despite being replaced by the current logo in 2019, this version of the logo (via its Dolby Audio, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos logos) can be seen on the back and discs of home releases to this day. It is also still used for the Dolby Newsroom website.

2019–present[]

Dolby logo (2019)

A new logo was unveiled with the announcement of Atmos support on Amazon products on September 25, 2019, but it didn't become their official logo until early 2020.[1] The font of this logo is similar to the 1965 variant, but with a more simplified thinner font; the Ds are now black with no rectangles surrounding them.
