Although it is not clearly marked by any logo change, Apple Computer Inc. was renamed Apple Inc. in January 2007 with the announcement of two non-computer products, the Apple TV and the iPhone. The Apple logo was made in April 1, 1976.

April 1, 1976–2002Edit

Apple Computer Logo rainbow
This logo was designed by Rob Janoff in April 1, 1976 and is rainbow. Despite the logo change that followed, it was still used as the Apple menu logo in Mac OS 9, which was last updated in 2001 and got unsupported in 2002.

The logo was made in 2002 and introduced in Mac OS X Panther in 2003 and integrated with the iPhone in 2007, but was discontinued when Apple dropped the skeuomorphic look with iOS 7 in 2013. However, it still appears in OS X's "About This Mac" box.

An urban legend is that the bite mark in the apple represented a computer byte, however Rob Janoff who created logo answered: Template:Quote[1]
